Who We Are
Zoozhi is an India-based marketplace for discovering and booking experiences and events, operated by Viventur Technologies Private Limited. This policy covers the Zoozhi website (zoozhi.com) and the Zoozhi mobile app. Viventur Technologies Private Limited is the Data Fiduciary for personal data processed through the Zoozhi platform under the Digital Personal Data Protection Act, 2023, and your data is processed in India.
Profile Information
When you create a Zoozhi account we collect your name, email address, and phone number. Your phone number is required because you sign in with a one-time password (OTP) sent by SMS — we do not store passwords. We use this information to operate your account, identify you to hosts when you book, send booking confirmations, and provide customer support.
Location Data
We use the city you select to show experiences near you. On the mobile app you can optionally allow precise (GPS) location to find nearby events — this is off unless you grant the permission, and you can revoke it at any time in your device settings. We do not track your location in the background.
Bookings & Payments
When you book an experience we collect the booking details (event, date, guests) and your purchase history, and we issue GST invoices as required by Indian tax law. Payments are processed by Razorpay, a PCI-DSS compliant payment gateway — your card number, UPI ID, and bank credentials go directly to Razorpay and are never stored by Zoozhi. You can view your transaction history in your account dashboard.
Device, Usage & Crash Data
We collect device identifiers and usage analytics (screens viewed, features used) to understand how people use Zoozhi and to improve it. On the mobile app, analytics only runs if you consent when asked. We also collect crash and error diagnostics (device model, OS version, what went wrong) so we can fix problems. This data is not used to identify you personally.
How We Use Your Information
We use your personal data to operate your Zoozhi account, process bookings and payments, match you with relevant experiences in your city, send booking confirmations and reminders, provide customer support, prevent fraud, and improve our platform. We also use aggregated, anonymised data to develop new features — this analysis does not identify you individually. We do not sell your personal data.
Third Parties We Work With
We share your name and booking details with the verified host whose experience you book — this is necessary to deliver the experience. We also use these service providers, each receiving only what it needs: Supabase (sign-in and OTP verification — receives your phone number and account credentials), Razorpay (payment processing — receives your name, contact details, and payment amount; handles card/UPI data directly), PostHog (usage analytics — receives device identifiers and in-app usage events, consent-gated on mobile), Sentry (crash diagnostics — receives device and error details), MSG91 (SMS delivery — receives your phone number to send OTP codes), and Fly.io (cloud hosting for our servers and databases). Each is contractually bound to process data only as we direct. We may disclose information if required by law or court order, or to prevent fraud or harm.
Data Retention & What Happens on Deletion
We retain your personal data while your account is active. When you delete your account, your profile (name, email, phone) is anonymised and your wishlist and device records are removed. Booking and financial records must be retained under Indian fiscal and audit law, so we keep them in anonymised form — they can no longer be linked to you. Reviews you wrote remain but are re-attributed to "Zoozhi user". See our Account Deletion page for how to delete your account.
Your Rights Under the DPDP Act 2023
Under the Digital Personal Data Protection Act, 2023, you have the right to: access a summary of personal data we hold about you; correct inaccurate or incomplete data; request erasure of your data where it is no longer necessary; withdraw consent where our processing is based on consent; and raise grievances with our grievance officer. To exercise any of these rights, contact us at support@zoozhi.com. If your grievance is unresolved, you may escalate to the Data Protection Board of India.
Children's Privacy
Zoozhi accounts and payments are not directed at children under 18 years of age. We do not knowingly collect personal data from minors. If you believe a minor has created an account on Zoozhi, please contact us at support@zoozhi.com and we will delete the account promptly.
Cookies & Analytics
On the website we use strictly necessary cookies to maintain your session and remember your preferences (such as your selected city). With your consent, we use analytics to understand how visitors use Zoozhi. On the mobile app, analytics is off until you consent. You can manage cookie preferences in your browser settings or by contacting us.
Security
We implement appropriate technical and organisational security measures including encrypted data transmission (TLS), access controls, and regular security reviews to protect your personal data. However, no system is completely secure and we cannot guarantee absolute security.
Changes to This Policy
We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. When we make material changes, we will update the "Last updated" date above and, where required, notify you by email or through the platform. Your continued use of Zoozhi after the changes take effect constitutes your acceptance of the revised policy.
