Your Privacy Matters
We are committed to protecting your personal information and being transparent about how we use it.
In This Policy
Information We Collect
When you create a Zoozhi account, we collect your name, email address, phone number, and profile photo. When you book an experience, we collect booking details, session preferences, and payment information (processed securely through our payment partners — we do not store your card details). When you browse zoozhi.com, we automatically collect technical information including your IP address, browser type, device identifiers, pages viewed, and location data if you enable location-based search.
How We Use Your Information
We use your personal data to operate your Zoozhi account, process bookings and payments, match you with relevant experiences in your city, send booking confirmations and reminders, provide customer support, and improve our platform. We also use aggregated, anonymised data to understand how learners use Zoozhi and develop new features. This analysis does not identify you individually.
Sharing Your Information
We share your name and booking details with the verified host whose experience you book — this is necessary to deliver the experience. We share data with trusted third-party service providers who assist us in operating the platform (cloud hosting, payment processing, email delivery, analytics) who are contractually bound to process your data only as directed by us. We do not sell your personal data. We may disclose your information if required by law or court order, or to prevent fraud or harm.
Payment Data
Payment processing on Zoozhi is handled by Razorpay, a PCI-DSS compliant payment gateway. Zoozhi does not store your card number, CVV, or bank account credentials. All payment data is transmitted over encrypted connections directly to our payment processor. You may view your transaction history in your account dashboard at any time.
Data Retention
We retain your personal data for as long as your account is active and for a period thereafter as required by applicable Indian law. Financial and booking records are retained for the period mandated under Indian tax regulations. Where you request deletion, we will delete or anonymise your data unless a longer retention period is legally required.
Your Rights Under the DPDP Act 2023
Under the Digital Personal Data Protection Act, 2023, you have the right to: access a summary of personal data we hold about you; correct inaccurate or incomplete data; request erasure of your data where it is no longer necessary; withdraw consent where our processing is based on consent; and raise grievances with our Data Protection Officer. To exercise any of these rights, contact us at admin@zoozhi.com. If your grievance is unresolved, you may escalate to the Data Protection Board of India.
Cookies and Tracking
We use strictly necessary cookies to maintain your session and remember your preferences. With your consent, we use analytics cookies to understand how visitors use Zoozhi. You can manage cookie preferences in your browser settings or by contacting us.
Security
We implement appropriate technical and organisational security measures including encrypted data transmission (TLS), access controls, and regular security reviews to protect your personal data. However, no system is completely secure and we cannot guarantee absolute security. Please use a strong, unique password for your Zoozhi account.
Children's Privacy
Zoozhi is not directed at children under 18 years of age. We do not knowingly collect personal data from minors. If you believe a minor has created an account on Zoozhi, please contact us at admin@zoozhi.com and we will delete the account promptly.
Governing Law
This Privacy Policy is governed by the Digital Personal Data Protection Act, 2023 (DPDP Act) and the rules made thereunder. Viventur Technologies Private Limited is the Data Fiduciary for personal data processed through the Zoozhi platform. By using Zoozhi, you acknowledge that your data will be processed in India.
Changes to This Policy
We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. When we make material changes, we will update the effective date above and, where required, notify you by email or through the platform. Your continued use of Zoozhi after the changes take effect constitutes your acceptance of the revised policy.
